We are nearing the end of the 2016 working year. TRA has had a busy and
successful year and is ready for 2017, with adjusted product options which will
be highly competitive in the current market.

  We attended the Bestmed Golf Day on the 25th of August, where our Audi A1 as the Hole in one prize was highly revered- unfortunately not won this time around.

If you attended the Bestmed broker launches, our staff attended and participated in these launches around the country.


 

 

Our 2017 Product Options booklet and signature stress balls were handed out at the various Bestmed
launches. We also sent out a link to the booklet via email on the 7th of October 2016. If for some reason you

Please note: We are closing new applications for 2016 on the 18th of November- members applying thereafter
can join using our 2017 application form, to begin benefits from the 1st of January 2017.


Premium Adjustment

We are happy to announce that our premiums have only increased by an average of 9.4%!!!

Gap Cover Product Adjustments on the Non-Plus Options

For Gap Cover, our 2016 Vital Cover, Super Cover and Absolute Cover product options are closed to new
business for 2017. Existing members can remain on these product options for 2017, but they will need to note
that there have been a few adjustments.

The biggest thing is that these product options DO NOT INCLUDE COVER FOR PRESCRIBED MINIMUM
BENEFIT (PMB) CONDITIONS.


Upgrades to the 2017 Gap Cover- Plus Options

For Gap Cover, our 2016 Vital Cover Plus, Super Cover Plus and Absolute Cover Plus have been enhanced
for 2017. Existing members can only upgrade to these options and new members can only join these options.

THESE OPTIONS INCLUDE COVER FOR PRESCRIBED MINIMUM BENEFIT (PMB) CONDITIONS.

Existing members can upgrade until the 31st of January 2017. If they do not upgrade in January, they will
have to remain on their current option.

Enhancements to the 2017 Plus Options Include:

Casualty Benefit – A benefit to assist with costs relating to emergency casualty treatment, whether admitted
into hospital or not.

Accidental Death Cover – A cash benefit paid out in the event that a principal policyholder, his/her spouse,
or one of his/her registered dependants passes away as the result of an accident.

Policy Extender – Where the principal policyholder passes away, the registered spouse and/or dependants
on the Gap Cover policy at the time of his / her passing will enjoy free membership of that policy for 6 months.

Our Gap benefit is UNLIMITED and includes cover for up to 700%. All of our gap products include oncology
gap cover. Our two top products include co-payment cover and our flagship product will cover you for certain
sub-limits.

Ancillary Products

Funeral Cover – We pay out a pre-determined cash benefit to a policyholder or nominated beneficiary in the
event of one of the registered beneficiaries passing away. The benefits and affordable premiums for this
product will remain the same as for 2016.

Femme Cover – Our female oncology benefit, which pays out a lump sum of money to the policyholder
(covers one life only), in the event of the female being diagnosed with certain female cancers. The premiums
have increased slightly for 2017.

Premium Waiver – Monthly funding for medical and/or gap cover is provided here for the registered
beneficiary, in the event of the main member of the medical aid and/or gap cover passing away. The benefits,
premiums and structure remain the same for 2017.
